legalConnect Web Suite

Our legalConnect Web Suite is a key component of the business advantage we provide to firms. legalConnect is a database-driven, software product that allows law firms to create and manage powerful Web sites, tailored to specific client service and marketing goals, at a fraction of the time and cost required using traditional development processes. It consists of an extensive library of powerful software routines for returning information from a database and displaying it to a firm's Web pages, and a Web-based content management system that allows a firm to easily and quickly manage the information stored in the database.

Development Process

Our development process has several key stages.

1. First, we will work with you to define the content and information layout of your Web site. This is a multi-step procedure that will culminate in the creation of an information architecture document that will provide a roadmap for the rest of the development process. This document will provide a detailed outline and organization of all of the content that will be placed on your Web site. It will include careful specifications of content that will exist at the firm level, at the practice area or industry focus level, and at the attorney bio level - the three primary levels in the information hierarchy of a law firm.
2. Once this task is complete, we will develop a creative brief based on a detailed questionaire concerning your target audiences, your design ideas, sample Web site URLs that you like, the identity you wish to project, and a variety of other topics. Based on this brief and your feedback, we will then develop graphical mockups for the home page and one or more interior pages in order to define your Web site's look & feel.
3. Concurrent with the previous task, you will begin gathering and organizing the content specified previously. As it becomes available, we will enter it into your Web site's database using the legalConnect Web Content Management System that has been set up for your Web site.
4. We will next create Web page templates based on your design specifications that will be used to build the individual Web pages. Different legalConnect software routines used for communicating with your Web site's database will be inserted into individual Web pages, depending on their purpose. Attorney bios, for example, will incorporate routines for displaying standard bio information, news, articles, events, and contact information for the attorney. This part of our process is generally fast compared to the traditional development approach, which requires extensive programming, testing, and refinement.
5. As the individual Web pages are produced, we will test and modify them as necessary, based on your feedback. Once the entire Web site has been completed, we will make it available to you for additional testing, feedback, and modifications. In addition, we will provide your staff with training on use of the legalConnect Web content management system that will be used to manage your Web site.
